My first Game of Golf

I met Paul Clementi over 2 years ago at a BNI networking event. To tell you the truth, I don’t even remember him from that meeting as I exchanged so many business cards that day. Over the next few months (and years) Paul would occasionally call or email me, inviting me to join him for one of his golf events, what been nick-named Paul’s Golf Group. This golf group is just a number of Paul’s contacts, business owners and representatives that enjoy playing golf. Some play better and some are not as good, but everyone joins in to enjoy the game.
Paul was so polite about these invitations, that I never considered asking him not to call anymore. In August 2005 I finally ran out of excuses – I accepted Paul’s invitation to join him for a game, just the two of us, at the beginning of September at the Red Tail Golf Course near Fort Devens. We started out on the driving range with Paul teaching me how to hit that little ball.
When our tee time came we went on to the course, playing 9 holes. I missed the ball entirely a few times, others went way off – usually to the right, and I think I lost about 8 balls during that game. Paul was very patient with me, giving me tips and pointing me in the right direction. By the end of the 9th hole I was hooked.
So it is now official – I blame Paul for getting me addicted to Golf.
