Here’s a quickie…

A few of the guys at the university newsgroup heard I play golf. While most supported my hobby, one had a humerous definition of golf that I wanted to share with you:

“Golf - hit a little ball with a stick, chase it down, hit it again - repeat until you get it into a hole - all the time dragging a bag full of sticks and getting sunburned.”

As compared to bowling:

“Bowling - roll a big ball at some sticks standing 60 feet away, wait for the ball to come back to you, roll it at any sticks still standing - are some of the sticks still there? - f***em - sit down in an air-conditioned building and enjoy a cold beer while someone else tries.”
