Finding Golf Partners

It seems that finding partners to play with can sometimes be a bit difficult (at least for me). I don’t know too many people who play golf, so I am looking for new golf partners. For the most part, I have been practicing on my own up until now, but that is not the same as going with another player.
I stumbled across a website that seems to solve that problem for me – http://www.mygolfbuddy.com/. It does not cost anything to register, and the search is pretty good. After registering (a single page one minute process) I did a quick search to find if there are other registered users within a 20 mile radius of where I live. The search is based on zip code, so it is pretty accurate and easy to use. It came up with almost 20 users in that radius that were also looking for golf partners. That’s pretty good, considering that I live in an almost rural area (my boss likes to call it the boonies – well what do you expect, he is in Boston).
Anyway, if you are looking for someone to play with and you don’t want to golf with me (I’ll try not to take that too personally) check out http://www.mygolfbuddy.com/. If you have any luck there, make sure to leave a comment here or to email me so that we can spread the word.
