My first 9 holes at The Lancaster Golf Center

I posted an advertisement in Craig’s List for a golfing partner last week. No hits yet, but that does not mean I will not play. Being pregnant, my wife did not play, but she joined me for the day, keeping me company and helping me a little with my game. So at around 11 AM we left, headed for the Lancaster Golf Center. $13 for 9 holes – that’s a pretty good deal. In order to get a little more exercise out of the game I chose to walk the course and carry my new set of used golf clubs instead of getting a cart.
There was a small group of 4 ahead of us, but they were courteous enough to let us pass. I set up golf ball o the matt for the first tee, swung and over shot the green – right into some trees. Hey – I was only practicing so I tried again – much better the second time. By the time I got to the third hole, I seemed to have warmed up. At the fifth hole I got my first bogey.
By the end of the ninth hole I was pretty tired, yet happy. I got a pretty good work out while both enjoying the game and getting in some quality time with my wife.
